ReMida Perth encourages the development of educational communities where children can flourish within creativity-rich environments.
A key part of our mission is to explore interactions between discarded materials, nature, and the child's experience of art and educational opportunities. Our education sessions are founded on a collaborative approach where children and encouraged to express their creativity in an open-ended, supported workshop experience.

Western Australian Context

Every context is different, and the educational setting in Western Australia offers a range of opportunities and challenges in activating Reggio-inspired educational environments.
ReMida's professional learning program emphasises the collaborative nature of the child's educational journey and the valued role of the educator in that process. Whether you're an experienced early years educator, primary or high school teacher, TAFE lecturer, community-based facilitator, parent or tutor, the educational project of Reggio Emilia can enrich your practice and the experience of the children and adults you work with.

Centro Internazionale Loris Malaguzzi

The Loris Malaguzzi International Centre, situated in beautiful Reggio Emilia, supports thousands of educators worldwide; as well as offering arts and education experiences for children and the community. 

We have been fortunate enough to visit the centre and speak with educators as well as staff from ReMida centres from around the world. 

The Sharing of Stories

Each time we embark on an educational journey, we become part of the child's story, and they become a part of ours. The aim is to foster an experience. That experience may lead to a tangible outcome, or it may not. But as we find ways to document and record these shared experiences, we build a collection of stories that help shape our future adventures in arts and education.

ReMida is passionate about the right of every child to shape, nurture and lead their educational journey. The mechanics of how this occurs, the transition from values to theory and pedagogy (practice) takes various forms. We aim to help people collect and share their Reggio-inspired stories and, in doing so, help every child find their own educational, artistic and creative voice.
