The 100 Languages of Children workshop is a two hour workshop, that provides an interactive learning experience for teachers and education professional. This workshop supports, encourages and inspires the re-use of unique materials that are traditionally viewed as waste, but can be re-purposed as a sustainable resource for all learning environments.

For educators with little or no knowledge of the Reggio Emilia Approach.

For group bookings, this workshop can be held at your location or at REmida's creative reuse centre.

Climbing Mountains PD

Initial workshop- Taking inspiration from the Reggio Emilia Approach, and current reserach on play based learning, this 2hr workshop will inspire educators to rethink their everyday practices and learning environments.

Discover ways in which our image of the child, and the role we play as educators, can empower children to reach their creative potential. A hands on and reflective workshop which aims to break down the challenges educators face when embracing a child- led apprach.

Followup workshops- This workshop includes a 2hr follow up consult at your service ( to be used within one month). More follow up session can be booked through out the year, to continue support and change within your learning environment. REmida's PD facilitator assists in any roadbloacks, problem solving and challenges that have arose in implementing any new practices that where developed during your inital workshops. New challenges may be set in this session, to further professtional development.

We are able to offer you a whole day workshop called 100 Mountains to Climb. This is a  combination of the the 100 Languges of Children PD and the Climbing Mountains PD.

 

Introducing: The Unplug&Play Master Class


The Unplug&Play Master Class explores the dynamics of technology free play and its benefits for enhancing the child's educational journey.

Building on from Climbing Mountains, The Unplug&Play Master Class provides an immersive play based session for educators that explores:

  •  Activating your imagination by reconnecting with your capacity for play
  •  Helping children to 'unplug' and engage with hands on play
  •  Exploring the benefits of life long play for children, families and educators
  •  Responding to spontaneous instances of play and using them to enhance the child's learning experience
  • The diversionary power of play, motivating kids through play based exercises
  • The power of incidental learning, how to structure play experiences to develop a child's numeracy and literacy skills

The 3 hour session is buit around a series of 'activity pods' that guide participants through their own play based experience.  

Play is a universal concept that supports cognitive and emotional wellbeing. Session are designed to provide a fun and accessible experience as you both rediscover the joy of play and learn how to implement these strategies within your education setting.
